Well, the election is now over and there is already talk of candidates getting involved in the next round of elections. It seems to never end. On Wednesday, November 7th, I spoke to over 10,000 students, faculty and guests in the Vines Center at Liberty University. There were a lot of young people discouraged as this was the first time for many of them to vote in a Presidential election. My message to them was that God is still on the throne and He is still in charge and that is my message to you today. I also reminded them that in reading the last book of the bible we are assured that we who are saved are on the winning side! So no matter what happens in elections, we still win.
The last week of October, we concluded our meeting at Oasis Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pastor Mark Neal is doing an amazing job at this church! Twenty-six people came for salvation and there was so much brokenness at the altar.
On Sunday, November 4th, we were in Brownwood, Texas at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. This was our first time to be with Pastor Tim Skaggs and his precious people. We had two great services and thirty-three came to call upon the name of the Lord for salvation!
On Tuesday, I flew to Virginia to speak at Liberty University and to attend the Trustee Board meeting. While there, I had the privilege of receiving the George Rogers Champion of Freedom Award during Military Appreciation week.
On Sunday, November 11th, we were in Jacksonville, Florida at Trinity Baptist Church for Veterans Day. I have been with Pastor Tom Messer on numerous occasions but I believe this may have been our best meeting together. The crowds were great and sixty-five came for salvation! There were numerous other decisions made as well.
Wednesday, November 14th, I spoke at Temple Christian School in Fort Worth, Texas. Fifty-five students & adults came for salvation! Seeing people get saved never gets old!
That evening I flew back to Jacksonville, Florida to attend the Trustee Board meeting for Trinity Baptist College. I enjoy being a part of institutions that are impacting young lives for Jesus Christ.
On Sunday, November 18th, I was back in Fort Worth at Trinity Baptist Temple. For years my good friend, Pastor Woody Godbey led this church. He and his wife Regina have been great friends to our ministry. Recently, Bro. Woody resigned the pastorate in order to spend more time traveling to mission fields and helping missionaries. The new pastor, Kyle Densmore, was trained by Woody and the church has not missed a beat. We had good crowds and six accepted Christ, five adult men and one teenage boy.
For Thanksgiving, my family and I traveled to southern Illinois where both Connie and I are from. We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving with our extended families!
Sunday, November 25th, we returned to Willow Park Baptist Church in Aledo, Texas. This was our 5th straight year to be with Pastor Clark Bosher the Sunday after Thanksgiving. In the past five years, this church has more than doubled in attendance. They have purchased eighty acres near Interstate 20 to relocate so they can grow even further. Twelve people came for salvation and the altars were filled in all four services!
Thank you so much for praying and for giving to help us do the work of the evangelist. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I could not do it without you. I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and I pray that 2013 is truly a Jesus year for you and your family!
