A month of a brand new year has already passed. As we transitioned out of the Christmas holidays and the celebration of a New Year we immediately got about the business the Lord has called us to. Every year we receive hundreds of invitations for revival meetings, Harvest Sunday’s, Patriotic events and other special meetings. There are only 52 weeks in the year so we do our best to be good stewards of the time that we are allotted. We go to large and small churches and all sizes in-between. In February I will preach at a church in Texas that runs over 10,000 and in March a church in Illinois that runs 60. We covet your prayers in all of our meetings during 2013.

Trinity Baptist Church; Asheville, NC
We began 2013 in a great way. We had a revival meeting with my good friend, Pastor Ralph Sexton of Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville, North Carolina. This was one of the best attended meetings since I began preaching for Bro. Ralph over twenty years ago. On Wednesday morning of that week I spoke at North Asheville Christian Academy. Between the two meetings twenty-one people trusted Christ for salvation and we had a host of other decisions during the week. It was good to have TLM board member and his wife, Mike and Anita Yates visit from Clintwood, Virginia to join us for a couple of days. For pastors and churches who think revival meetings are a thing of the past I urge you to reconsider. Revival might just be the very thing your church needs today!

Cook Baptist Church; Ruston, LA
The second Sunday of January we drove to Ruston, Louisiana to be with Pastor Mike Holloway and the people of Cook Baptist Church. The Lord blessed with a good day with many decisions being made including four who came for salvation.

Parkview Baptist Church; Waco, TX
The next Sunday it was my privilege to preach for a good friend of over 40 years. I met Pastor John Collier and his wife Virginia when he was serving as an evangelist. He was preaching a meeting close to where I pastored at the time in southern Illinois. I went to hear him and the Lord immediately drew our hearts together. I had the privilege of preaching the 30th anniversary celebration of him being the pastor of Parkview Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. The Lord has greatly blessed them over these 30 years in many ways. A few years ago they were able to relocate their church and school plant to a prominent location and build all brand new buildings. It helped them to grow and reach more people than they ever would have in the old location. On Sunday morning the altars were flooded and ten people called upon the name of the Lord for salvation!

Galveston Baptist Association; Texas City, TX

On the last Sunday of January I preached a meeting for the Galveston Baptist Association. The Director of Missions for this association told me they have fifty-seven churches. We met at the First Baptist Church of Texas City, Texas with a good crowd and a great number of pastors. I preached about my burden for revival and my burden for reaching lost people for Jesus. Twenty-two came for salvation and there was scores of other decisions as well.

I want to thank those who prayed and for those who gave to help us out of the financial deficit that we found ourselves at the end of the year. Wonderful friends from Maryland emailed me and told us what they wanted to do and I can truthfully say it was a direct answer to prayer!

Please continue to stand with us during these dark days. We are called to be light and salt. God has called me to go and I need your help to make it possible.
