It has already been a hot summer and we are just now going into July! We have been in some good churches and the Lord has been blessing in our meetings.
Before I give a report on our meetings let me say that I do love America, but I hate what is happening to my country. We are fighting a real enemy in Afghanistan and Iraq. However, a bigger concern of mine is the enemy within our country. Politicians from the White House on down have displayed a total disregard for the Bible and for the U.S. Constitution!
It sickens me to think what kind of a country we are going to hand to our grandchildren. These are times that should drive us to our knees in prayer. We know we deserve the total judgment of God but I am begging for mercy and for an outpouring of Holy Ghost revival in these last days. Please join with this ministry as we beseech the Lord to this end.
The first Sunday of June, we were in Bessemer, Alabama at Flint Hill Baptist. Pastor Bruce McCartney and these precious people have seen trying days in the past couple of months. Several church families, including some staff members had lost their homes and all of their belongings in devastating tornadoes. The Lord led me to preach a message of encouragement and the altars were full with people broken before God.
The following week we were in Balch Springs, Texas near Dallas. A few times a year we, on purpose, go to small churches to be a help and encouragement. I would imagine we had 85 or so in attendance at Hickory Tree Baptist Church and 11 people came for salvation!
The following Sunday, on Fathers Day, we were in Lansdale, Pennsylvania at the Worship Center. This was the first time to be with Pastor J.R. Damiani and these wonderful people. We saw 40 people come for salvation with scores of others making decisions in their lives also.
On the last Sunday of June, I had the privilege to preach at our home church. We joined Lavon Drive Baptist Church in August of 1986. There, my friend, Gary Coleman is pastor. Southern gospel greats, Greater Vision sang and blessed us on Sunday morning and the Lord gave me unusual liberty to preach in both the morning and evening services. During the day, 17 came for salvation, and again the altars were full of people broken before God.
During these summer months we need special prayer and generous support. The summer time is usually a difficult time financially so please stand with us as we keep on going for Him.
During the last two weeks of July, we will host our annual Youth Alive camps. We are having two camps this summer, and this is our 18th year to hold these camps. In these past 18 years, we have seen thousands of students come to Christ and many more surrender to full time ministry. Please join me in praying for these camps. Many of these students will be coming to camp for the first time.
We have invited some teenagers from a children’s home to join us at our camp in Illinois. We have some spots to fill and they are happy to be coming! I still need some additional people to step forward and sponsor one or more of these teenagers. Please pray about supporting one or more of these teens. The cost to support one is $269. Perhaps you cannot pay that but could pay half ($134.50). It would be an investment in a young person’s life and could mean the difference as to where they will spend eternity.
I hope that you and your family have a wonderful 4th of July!
In Him,
Tim Lee
