I want to begin by thanking each of you and your families for the sacrifices that you have made in order to give to this ministry. For 33 years we have been crisscrossing America and other parts of the globe to try to make a difference in peoples lives. Our burden from the beginning was to see people come to Christ for salvation and to see revival in our generation. Over the years we have seen thousands upon thousands walk down church aisles and come to Jesus for salvation. We have seen several thousand men surrender to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ over the past 33 years, and we have seen hundreds of thousands, if not more Christians walk down the aisle to get things right with God. It has been an amazing journey and you are a part of it! The churches that support this ministry on a monthly basis are a part of it. To God be the glory!
It has not always been easy but I can say from the bottom of my heart it has been worth it all. And guess what? We are not finished yet! Every week we are scheduling more meetings. We did have to postpone our trip to Vietnam for now because we need a few more to go with us. We are considering going in March of 2012. if you have an interest in going to Vietnam, call our office and let Amber know.
Also I have made a commitment to go to India at the end of this year right after Christmas to do a huge international crusade in this country of over a billion people. We will have more details next month. We are not slowing down, we are picking up speed because people still need to hear the Good News! We need your help more than ever. If you know people who are looking to support a ministry that is making a difference please tell them about this ministry. WE NEED MORE HELP!
Right after Youth Alive in Illinois, I made a trip to Tennessee and Georgia for 3 meetings on July 31. Early that day I was with Piney Grove Baptist in Trenton, Georgia with Pastor John Smith and his fine people. At the early service we had a good crowd and two came for salvation and there were other decisions also.
As soon as I was finished, I drove to Chattanooga where I was to preach at 11:00 am at Temple Baptist for Pastor Shad Smith. I have been to Temple on several occasions but this was my first time with Bro Shad. They had a great crowd and again two people came for salvation.
That evening I was up on Sand Mountain, Georgia at Sand Mountain Bible Camp. George Trask directed this camp for years and now his son Philip is the director. A few months ago a huge tornado blew this camp away! It was devastating. We had our meeting under a large tent that was packed! It was hot under the tent but the Lord blessed in a great way! I helped to receive the offering for the camp and we were able to raise several thousand dollars!
The next week we were back in Illinois for a family reunion. It was a great day of food and fellowship. I was able to see relatives that I had not seen in many years. It was a blessed time.
On Sunday, August 7th I traveled with my two oldest granddaughters, Emma and Ally to Princeton, Indiana where I preached at First Baptist for Pastor George Prinzing. We had great crowds in both the morning and evening and six people came for salvation and there was a great number of other decisions also.
The following week we were in a Sunday – Wednesday meeting in Round Rock, Texas at Faith Baptist Church. This church was celebrating their 20th anniversary. Pastor David Walthers and the people of faith did a great job preparing for this meeting. They average I believe around 120 on Sunday morning but on this Sunday we had nearly 200 in attendance and we had great crowds all week. Twenty-four people came for salvation! They gave us one of the largest offerings for their size of church that we have received in 33 years!
The next week, August 21st, we were in Gilmer, Texas at Grace Baptist Church. This was their 6th anniversary. Again they had worked and planned hard for a good meeting and God blessed their efforts. Thirteen people came for salvation and there was a ton of other decisions!
Thank you again for all you do!
